Rodeway Inn South Miami - Coral Gables

Everything in the room worked perfect when I couldn't turn on the TV immediately a maintenance person was there to help me the room smell good from the paint it didn't smell like regular paint but it looked like it was newly done. Didn't have any complain in the maintenance but front desk was having a problem with courtesy and definitely you need to have some kind of fast breakfast like bagels cream cheese, hard boiled eggs, fresh fruits, regular toast butter assorted juices, coffee with regular creams.

Great place for the price! Love the location! The room can use a remodel, but over all great. Very quiet no traffic noise from dixie Highway.

For the price, you truly get exactly what you pay for. This place is a fascinating case study in how little effort can still qualify as a functioning hotel. I didn’t sleep much because I spent the night coexisting with several cockroaches. We were up late together. Cards were played. I lost a game of Go Fish after unplugging a lamp and discovering the cord was sticky enough to attach itself to my hand. The floors have the texture and grip of a mouse trap, which is very effective at holding onto your feet and reminding you to reconsider your life choices. I leaned against one of the walls and genuinely wondered how much of it was decorative versus structural. The toilet seat is crooked, adding an element of suspense to every bathroom visit. The room smelled like pot most of the night, which was honestly preferable to the alternative scent created by a constantly leaking AC unit. A mat has been placed over the drip, giving the impression that the issue has been thoughtfully acknowledged. The AC technically works, though mostly by saturating the room. The windows are so dirty they appear to have been removed from the bottom of a boat. The outdoor railings inspire deep reflection about physics, gravity, and whether leaning is worth the risk. There is a sign in the lobby explaining how to properly wear clothing and that smoking indoors is not allowed. This sign appears to serve an educational or decorative purpose only. This is also the only hotel I’ve ever stayed in that features a display piano. You cannot play it. You cannot touch it. It exists purely to surprise guests and raise questions. I assume there is a reason. At one point, I unplugged a lamp and the cord stuck to my hand. This is not an exaggeration. Overall, if you are looking for the lowest possible price and want to experience the absolute minimum level of upkeep that can still operate as a hotel, this place delivers exactly that. It is honestly impressive how far things can be allowed to deteriorate and still function. If this property ever needed new management or ownership, I would gladly step in. Anyone with even a basic understanding of cleanliness and maintenance could immediately see the amount of untapped potential here. Having the owner stay on-site for a full week using the room as a guest would, would likely provide all the insight needed to understand where improvements could be made.

Not extremely suffer staying! Super long two nights stay!! Because of a lot of luggage and itinerary, we couldn't change hotels midway! 1. In the room: very old and simple facilities, shabby furniture, no refrigerator, no shampoo, no heating, and most importantly: no quilt in winter!!! There were only sheets and a very thin blanket on each bed (check-in time was January 10th, and the indoor and outdoor temperature was 10 degrees C at night). 2. The staff's very rude attitude: The family was still recovering from a cold on the day they checked in, and found that the room was cold and the bedding could not keep them warm. I went to the front desk for help at 9:40pm, but were rudely rejected by a proud and mean young lady on duty, "There are no quilts! We can only give each person an extra thin blanket, and there are extra blankets, but we must keep them for our own use (it turns out that they are afraid of the cold themselves!)" I explained, "Our family's health has not yet fully recovered, and we are afraid of the cold. Please help, or provide quilts! Or give us another thin blanket, or change to a warmer room. We can't live under a bridge! Please contact the manager and help us solve it?!" Her answer: "The manager has gone home to rest. That's it. There is no way to solve it today! You figure it out yourself! If you continue to insist on making demands, I will call the police!" Helpless, the family could only wear their own cotton coats to endure the long cold night!

No shuttle to the airport or cruise port. No continental breakfast. Ice maker was broke.

Overall good experience in this hotel. The room is honestly a bit worn down. Room was well priced and air conditioning was extremely cold. Bathroom was okay, nothing broken or not working, just old. Beds were comfortable but nothing special. The rooms are clean, The floor was clean. If you need a place for a hot shower and sleep, this hotel is OK and affordable. I would highly recommend RodeWay Inn Coral Gables to anyone looking for a comfortable and relaxing stay. I can't wait to return.

The people that work here are amazing and it’s a great place with affordable prices. Subway is two blocks away and fun local bars nearby

My stay turned out to be surprisingly pleasant.The staff was in̈credibly helpful from check in to check out.The location had me worried at first but I realized that Metro rail was around the corner and I barely had to use my car. The whole staff from the front desk to the ladies that cleaned my room,thank you for a great stay.
